I've never realized until our family moved to the Northwest, how much I have missed the autumn season. Last weekend, my family & I were driving to visit my parents and we drove through this beautiful place called Port Gamble. It looks like what I imagine turn of the century upstate New York would be......check it out here . When we drove down the main tree lined street, all these beautiful, colorful leaves poured down on our car; hundreds of leaves; in greens, oranges, reds, yellows.......it was like something out of a novel.

Autumn has made me so thankful for this season to the point of cherishing every moment that fall has to offer this year. I have made spiced apple cider in my crock pot, at least a half of a dozen times (easy recipe: 1 bottle of raw apple cider, 2 TBSP of Williams-Sonoma or Trader Joes Mulling Spices wrapped in tea strainer or cheese cloth, heat on LOW for 1 hour in crock pot, then set on WARM till served. YUM!) My daughter & I have collected some gorgeous dried leaves & made a little collection of fall things in our entry way......

A family friend of ours gave us 4lbs of apples from their apple tree this past Sunday. I am going to try to make this for the first time on Thursday. What isn't more autumn than warm out of the oven apple crisp??

p.s.......I am thoroughly enjoying all of Starbucks fall drinks......

especially the Salted Carmel Mocha.

hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s bettesdcr to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
