Since I have not been working and our family is trying to save a few dollars, I have been cooking a lot more at home. I pulled out my Giada Family Dinners cookbook (delish recipes, if I might add) and got to cooking. One thing that Giada asks you to do in a few recipes is zest. Zesting is taking a certain kitchen tool, called a 'zester' and basically you shave the entire the rind off of a citrus. I needed to buy one because I have no clue what happened my last zester.
That word is fun to say.....zester.
Ok. Moving on.
While I was buying my zester at the store, I remembered an incident involving a question around zesting.
Last Christmas, while we were in Seattle, my family was playing one of the many board games my parents have. This particular game the guys have to answer 'girl-ish' questions and the girls have to answer 'guy-ish' questions.
Team Guys: My dad, brothers and my husband had the question~
What is zesting?
They started debating, is it this, is it that.
Finally, my brother and my husband came up with this:
"Zesting is when a girl sprays her perfume into the air then walks into it with her shoulders back, like this---". Then my brother and my husband proceeded with a demonstration.
Oh, yes. It happened.
I laughed so hard.
